math 9/22/10
I really enjoyed doing the art with Ginger today. She showed us Piet Montriean's work and created our own. It was really interesting to see that we all used the same art concept but each one of our work was different from one another.

problem solving and Observing
When we worked together with a partner to solve a math problem, I learned that you can see other ways to solve the same math problem and end up with the same answer. While observing my other two classmates tackle a math problem I got to see how each one's different approach to solve the problem and how they checked one another's procedure to make sure they are both on the same page. They also gave each other explanations and learned from one another where they went wrong.

What I learned today..
I learned a lot today, but my favorite thing that I learned is everyone's experience with mathematics. It was good to hear that a lot of people had the same experience as I did and heard some good stories about positive and unmotivated teachers.

What is one important thing about making math personal
What makes math personal for me is the person that inspired you to love math.
